Last night, Chef Travis Hearne invited me to The Dunavant restaurant for a private menu tasting. I was so excited to get invited to this picturesque restaurant. The Dunavant is a new concept in Charlotte, North Carolina centered around steak and fries with a fixed price of $25 per person. For $25 you will receive freshly baked bread, soup or salad, two rounds of steak, and unlimited fries. Small plates and desserts are available à la carte.
The atmosphere at The Dunavant is sexy, modern, and chic - the perfect spot for Valentine’s Day. The focal point of the restaurant is the glamorous U-shaped bar. If you haven’t made Valentine’s Day reservations already, The Dunavant is having their soft opening for the public on February 13 and 14.
What do I recommend you eat? The top sirloin with gorgonzola crema was amazing. The silky tomato bisque with parmesan crumbles was the best I’ve ever had. And of course, you have to try the bottomless parmesan truffle fries. After all, who doesn’t like bottomless fries?
