Maple-Honey Bacon Wrapped Wings - As Seen on Essence Eats

Cooking Time/Preparation: 1 hour

Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • 3 pounds chicken wings (approximately 10 wings)

  • ½ cup maple syrup

  • ½ cup honey

  • ¼ cup soy sauce

  • 10 slices of bacon

  • 1 tablespoon salt

  • 1 tablespoon black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon paprika

  • Parsley, chopped

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine maple syrup, honey, and soy sauce.  Reserve about ¼ cup of the mixture and set aside. With the remainder of the mixture, toss in chicken wings and let marinate overnight.

  2. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

  3. Season chicken wings with salt, pepper, and paprika.

  4. Wrap each chicken wing with slices of bacon width-wise, and tie bacon around like a bow.

  5. Place chicken wings on a baking pan and cover with foil.  Bake for 35-40 minutes.

  6. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until wings are crisp.

  7. Drizzle wings with the reserved marinade (from step 1) and garnish with chopped parsley.
